Medical Staff Survey

Helps hospitals understand physicians’ needs and perceptions

The Myers Group conducts surveys of affiliated physicians to help hospitals measure and better understand the needs and perceptions of their medical staff members, as well as their views on key hospital issues.  Our recommended survey is administered as a mixed methodology of professional mailings and invitations to complete the survey by either mail or via a secure web portal.  By utilizing the two methodologies that physicians are most likely to respond to, we achieve the greatest number of survey responses possible.

While we customize every new medical staff survey to the specific needs of the hospital and its medical staff, our baseline survey consists of approximately 30 questions designed to measure physician satisfaction in the following areas:

  • The quality and quantity of clinical staffing
  • Scheduling and admissions
  • Cleanliness and attractiveness of hospital facility
  • Timeliness and quality of reports and results
  • Assessment of in-house providers
  • Services available to medical staff members

The question set is designed so that the loyalty of a hospital’s medical staff members may be compared to the medical staffs of comparable hospitals.

Applicable for all physicians on staff, this survey keenly assesses the physicians’ satisfaction with core processes which affect the physicians’ abilities to deliver care or have care delivered to their patients.

Our comprehensive reports provide easy to understand, actionable results for sustaining and improving physician satisfaction and loyalty.

An updated national benchmark will be available in early 2007.
